Paddle- Run- Bike for ECHO

E.C.H.O.

The Emergency Care Help Organization was started by the Brandon Ministerial Association in 1987 as a way to provide food and clothing to those in need of Short Term assistance in the Brandon Area. In 1992, ECHO was chartered as a seperate non-profit corporation in the state of Florida and received its 501(c)3 status shortly thereafter. Clients are referred to ECHO by DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services), local churches, schools, and related organizations.

Governed by a 30 person board of directors, which meets monthly, and staffed by volunteers, ECHO's primary means of support comes from the generosity of the community, including local civic organizations, churches, businesses and citizens. No funding is received from any local, state or federal funding agency. ECHO is open Monday - Friday From 9:00 - 12:30 pm. Except in cases of extreme emergencies.

ECHO's policy is to treat each person with respect, dignity and compassion.
Our goal is to help each person in their emergency and to foster self-reliance and help towards personal independance regardless of race, sex, national origin or creed. A representative of ECHO is available to speak on the needs of ECHO and how your organization can help.

Please feel free to call (813) 685- 0935 for information and scheduling.
